          ... of the longer stays.

          We took a walk into the local village, Capmany, this morning, found the cafè/bar and got an ice cream and found the deli and got lunch, a nice walk around the narrow streets before we headed back to the site. After lunch we had a game of pétanque and chilled out in the sun. This evening we will pack up ready for our move tomorrow for the first of our longer stays.

We went to the history museum that displayed materials from Roman times onwards, but it as an inadequate account compared with the impressive displays and curating at the Catalonian history museum in Barcelona.           ... was a good location from which to discover Catalonia. The cuisine was a welcome change from the nice but non-descript French cuisine of Provence. We tried to eat the most authentic Spanish food we could find, and preferred the lighter tapas style food in this heavily meat-oriented cuisine.           Empuries was the furthest outpost of the Greek Empire and although it is not thought Hannnibal ever visited, legions of Romans used this spot as a disembarkation point for invasion. Greek and Roman ruins are evident. Whilst we were visiting, the exhibition in the local museum focussed on the sex lives of the Romans. Those racy Romans!
