It seems so much easier to meet people on the road than in Vancouver. I still don't quite understand what it is about VanCity that makes people keep their distance. Robert hesitated awkwardly before inviting the Dutch to dinner. It was so nice to plan a spontaneous get-together, not having to provide two weeks' notice to ensure there are no schedule conflicts.
