Another lazy morning woke up to a misty day. Had a leisurely start then back in to Vicenza.Decided to check out some of the local galleries, museums & churches.

One we saw was the Palazzo Leoni Montanari dating from 1670's. It is now a gallery housing a sculpture "The fall of the rebel angels" by Agostin Fasolato (see photos) This was carved from a single piece of carrara marble & contains sixty figures! ...

He was a big guy with a beer and he was just tickled that I was American and had talked to him. On the bus ride he called everyone he knew and couldn't stop laughing hysterically at the "ragazza ...

A very foggy and hazy morning today - our plan was to go to the island and have coffee - check out the market area - have lunch and then return back to the hotel in the early afternoon as we had scheduled hair appointments for that afternoon at a salon nearby. As you will see in the photos there was a lot of fog and although it didn't rain - it never really cleared up all day. This was a good day to take it easy. We had our coffee and then ...
