Spent this afternoon catching up on the blog, my emails etc. Sorry to hear my Uncle has been in hospital but back home again now. Roger has had a bad cold, lost his voice etc. Mum feeling much better after a nasty long winded cough etc, so all seems well at the moment. The Good: Little Tourism = sites empty, dry heat, friendly people
The Bad: Little Tourism = desperate hawkers, female disrespect, service
- it's safe - everything you read in the news is localized to specific areas which are avoidable
- bring small bills to tip/buy souvenirs - the people who work in tourism are hard off
- if you want to do a camel ride, do it at giza pyramids
- expect traffic jams
