... in Egypt. In the afternoon, we headed to the Egyptian museum to see King Tuts treasures and other historical Egyptian artifacts. The treasures from King Tuts tomb are definitely all they are cracked up to be. The amazing amount of detail put into every piece as well as the sheer number of pieces recovered intact from his tomb is incredible. Definitely worth seeing if you are ever in Cairo. Hundreds of Nile Cruise boats were docked and the ones that were actually running had barely any passengers. Many souvenir shops permanently closed and stalls were abandoned. Many of the shops that were open had a thick layer of dust over things. Not to ...
... totally filled! Hilarious!
Lunch was nice kebabs and then we were off to see the pyramids. It was so cool driving to the edge of town and seeing desert and pyramids looking back at you. There are three big ones close to Cairo and that includes the great pyramid of Giza. We drove up to a scenic look out to take in the epic view, the city is very smoggy so it was hidden from the background view. The great pyramid is missing some of its top stones so ...
