... all bought a few things here and there, but we found nothing for us, so we wandered slowly back up the street just looking at everything, and went back to the restaurant where George was waiting for us. We said bye to our policeman friend and went back to our hotel. We went to the restaurant up the road, Vinnies, for lunch, where I had a pretty nice pasta, and we saw Hani, who was the guy who picked us up from the airport. We had some food and a chat there for a bit, ...
... horror - into the middle of this great circle to dance with a bride who has no idea who I am. No time to look guilty, I cobble together the most ethnic-y dance I can manage, whilst the bride graciously smiles and wiggles away to the music. background goes down very well, and I’m given space in several songs to bring a
flash of the Irish to these Egyptian folk rock songs..! I finally arrive back
in Maadi at 11pm. Phew. Could go to bed, but we have no school this week, so I decide
to make the most and meet an Egyptian friend and go driving the now empty
