Maddy apologized forthe Russian menus and said she'd bring some English ones. She did, but they were still in Russian. So, Russian I will be. I found that they had a lot of Russian clients here as the Russian Embassy is close by. Pretoria is the capital of South Africa.

... they were students from 9-19 years old protesting as they wanted the language of instruction to be English and not the Afrikaans.

We were all quite tired by the end of our tour, sleeping on a plane is never very comfortable, tomorrow morning we leave to make our way to a private game reserve for the next 3 days, it is a 7 hour land transfer, so it will be a long day of driving.

Oh, did I mention it is hot here, thank goodness!

So I got into his queue and waited a bit impatiently for the line to move on. As I approached the counter I smiled, probably nervously, and said hello. Kruger is good because you get to see a lot of different animals in genuine environment, whereas day safaris in Kenya & Tanzania tend to focus on one species eg elephants, lions or leopards.
