Phew... Going through US Customs was a bit trying... No searching but a lot of questions meant - I supposed - to catch us with something bad... Who knows. We did not loose any meal. We're in the middle of a fairground, with a weak WiFi but OK. The only analog TV channels are from Detroit but the Detroit area offers 22 digital channels, many
Longer day than expected but we grinded the flying condo to a halt. No problem other than a sticking lock on the propane door.

... diversion into Great Smoky Mountain National Park to see the fall colors. A week from tomorrow, we'll be back at our friend Pat's Place, in Webster, Florida, where warm weather awaits!
The colors have started to change up here - will upload a couple of pics taken today as we're traveing.
... I have for a while unless they can make them out of kimchi in Korea. My flight in wasn't bad, but I didn't get much sleep. Time to work on the TEFL though, so I will end my entry here unless something interesting happens between now and my flight, which isn't for 3 more hours! Sweet layover!
... stores wherever we travel. I'm already planning on buying another suitcase in Australia to carry home all my goodies (which I know I'll collect).
So much for not knowing anyone. Bill got a call from a friend yesterday who was talking to an acquaintance of his who was telling him about a cruise he was taking, and wouldn't you know it, it's the one we're on ...

Boarding the plane with the my new closest friends (coincidentally the only English-speaking friends I would encounter) and putting thousands of miles behind us was one of the most liberating experiences I can recall.
Sorry to dwell on the negative attitudes about my summer. To compensate, I am including some finer pictures of my home town. Enjoy.
... out and plays a bunch of arcade games etc. I don't know if you're familiar with it but I certainly wasn't wearing a small red jacket with odd white piping. It was a fun night nonetheless.
After a few days of the aforementioned laziness, I jumped on a Toronto bound train. The 4 1/2 hour journey passed largely without incident although I think I may have been a touch tired as I found myself, at one point, with my headphones in and my ipod on, whistling along to the ...
... So we have left another one impressed.
We have already got a room booked at the Super 8 Motel Sterling Heights Detroit and we check in about 4 o'clock. This gives us time to do some washing (sorry Cath did the washing) while I went and tried to get the drivers seat fixed in the car (it is collapsed on one side and 1 mount is broken) and also to get some beer. I find a liquor store on Brougham Ave so think that's pretty cool. But I ...
... wiser, but happy the phone is back working! The next thing is to sort out is the internet supply or air-card, oh boy interesting, it was not possible to obtain the details at this store we had to go to the regional office, only 15 mins away we were informed, we obtained the address and then finished the coffee break, using the newly awakened phone rang and rebooked into the KOA and headed to the regional office. Well from here the fun begins again, how can we live with so ...
Detroit, Michigan, United States popusa2008... find spell check:{ Guess I had better buy a camera before I leave. As I have mentioned I will be shifting and clutching my way across the countryside on the weekends. If you get a chance take a look at a map of the Veneto. I will be close to some of Italy's beautiful northern lakes, the Dolomites, and the Adriatic. Also Bologna, the food capital is a short distance away. Sadly, opera season is over in Verona, a neighboring city which has a beautiful ancient outdoor amphitheater.
