      Sort of okay ...

I would stay here again but only in a crunch.

The rooms are acceptable but the bathrooms have a shower in the bath that need an overhaul. The breakfast does not reach the standard of an acceptable Asian, Continental or English breakfast menu.

The staff are good and the service decent. I also think that it is a good location with several places of ineterest close-by and the sky train a few minutes away.

It is supposed to be an easy path to hell and a difficult one to get to heaven, but if you're willing to put in the effort it will always pay off. I was stopped by a man who said he was with the tourist board and he explained that Wat Pho was closed until about 3pm for the ...

... a nap before heading out. So the night out was a quiet but good evening. After a little Thai meal at the Hard Rock Cafe we went to red sky bar on the top of the grand centara hotel with amazing city views. This included a little bit of jazz flute being played by the Thai equivalent of Ron burgundy! From the roof top, Vicky spotted a little rave happening on another roof a bit lower but not too far. We headed there and managed to get into a ...

... dictatorship in the same way it has apparently been in the past; it really has opened up and is improving quickly. The problem is, it's still not that good; not half as good as pretty much and of the other places we've visited. The only way it's superior to anywhere else is that there are fewer Westerners, which is something. Our perception of the country may have been adversely coloured by the fact that we both became ill, whether because of the malaria tablets, the ...

Smooth flight on Kenya airways to Bangkok, roads amazing into town, afternoon visit to Chatuchak market, mass of people and food stalls, are coconut ice cream with sticky rice and peanuts! Quite different to Kenya but lots of sewage smells along the way. Nairobi needs the sky rail! Dinner at our hotel the Atlanta whose coasters state "bangkoks bastion of wholesome ...
