... looking from what i know!

Today confirmed what i knew about Japanese: they are not very fit and ready to walk! After getting the city map from the tourist information and telling the lady we wanted to walk everywhere, she looked horrified. I also noticed that Japanese don't walk up the escalator ever and generally speaking walk very slow.

Yesterday Shana and I got to ride the Shinkansen which is the very fast bullet train that runs around Japan. Train rides in and of themselves are pretty boring. You just sort of sit there and read or whatever. However I did see some funny, interesting and cool things from the train as we zoomed out of Tokyo and north to Shin Shirakawa.

... ones recognizable as an American breakfast were soft boiled eggs, small sausages, fruit, and yogurt. I've learned to like miso soup for breakfast, but can't get used to salad, pickled vegetables, and stewed meats for a morning meal.

We took a taxi back to Aizu Castle so that we could re-visit the gift shop. In the two days since we were there, the cherry trees had gone from being in bud to full blossom. They were simply gorgeous!
