    Walking all around this town yesterday, about 10km walk in total, with various historical sights mainly about the young samurai's that committed mass suicide here at the time of the civil war (1868). Also quite impressive is the Tsuruga-jo castle, totally destroyed but rebuilt for us to visit.

    ... i knew about Japanese: they are not very fit and ready to walk! After getting the city map from the tourist information and telling the lady we wanted to walk everywhere, she looked horrified. I also noticed that Japanese don't walk up the escalator ever and generally speaking walk very slow.

    ... tall and completely surrounded by the netting that you find at driving ranges that are next to the freeway. They also had targets painted on the netting which I thought was pretty cool. I am curious to see if they have to harness you in if you are using the 5th floor range since there can't be any sort of protective gate.
