So today was supposed to be the star of the real biking fun, left the Czech Republic and headed into the mountains in Slovakia, the rain has reduced a little but now I'm on the twisties it is still a real pain...I've given up on my plan to ride East through Slovakia, I'm now heading South into Hungary and away from the rain ...

... amazingly well preserved. It has lots of the original furniture from various owners and the wall frescos are very well preserved. But what Impressed us the most was the intricately carved woodwork in every room and on most wall surfaces. A really beautiful castle.

After the statue was a short walk uphill to the Gothic Warwel Castle which had very similar architecture to the castles and structures seen during the earlier parts of the trip. As it was in the evening the whole area was dark and the castle surroundings gave a creepy effect to the short tour. There is also a large Warwel Cathedral which was the main site for the burial of many Polish monarchs. The ...
