Last night we all stayed up, weather we wanted to or not. There was a huge thunder and lightning storm and rain violently pelted our windows through out most of the night. Unfortunately, due to the immense heat of the day, we had left the windows open and so rain blew into our room and dampened the beds and our luggage, (and a laptop) which were not-so-carefully situated directly beneath the large windows.
It was a busy day, as we packed in every tourist attraction Bruges has to offer. We started the day with climbing the belfry, which was only difficult in how steep and narrow it got at the top. Whoever built it clearly didn't account for my enormous feet, as I had to nearly crawl the last few steps but it was worth it. The view at the top was fantastic and we got to here the bells up close. Like, really close. And got to feel smug all day due to the "extreme" ...
