Four weeks
Just four weeks to go and I just want to be settled on board with the real world, and Christmas , left behind. What can I give this Christmas?
This year 6,657 Christmas shoeboxes were donated to The Trussell Trust for distribution in Bulgaria. This is another record and a reminder that there are a lot of you out there that really care about others much less fortunate than yourselves. The last day
It's gone so quickly and there is so much still to see....another return trip perhaps? It's been an interesting visit, different to that we expected perhaps, as mentioned before, contrasts from lavish demonstrations of (modern) wealth to remnants of the soviet past. Winchester and Salisbury
... Climbed up High St to see where the old castle at Winchester was. Went into the Great Hall which remains to this day, where Sir Walter Raleigh was sentenced to death and the round table of King Arthur has been hung. Came back down High St (Pete bought a beanie) and strolled through the Abbey Gardens, by the local river and the old city walls to the car. Drove to Salisbury next. Left our things at the YHA (we got a six bed dorm to ourselves) and walked a few minutes into town ...
