... doing Route 66 and even had a stuffed sheep teddy called Wilber. Wilber had his photo taken with Diane and we laughed about it. Well, Ashleigh and I did whilst the boys looked awkward with embarrassment!
We continued our journey just stopping to have a drink at passing diners etc and before we knew it we were in St Louis.
We managed to find our hotel really easily and parking was also a doddle. The $15 parking fee compared to the $38 fee in Chicago ...
... do might be do one in the day and one at night to see Chicago. Personally, the edge would have to go to the Skydeck at the Willis (Sears) Tower. Because it's slightly further out, you can actually see the other buildings that make up Chicago's famous skyline, they also have a better gift shop and it's more of a thrill to stand 1000 ft over the edge in a box with a clear bottom. Hancock wins the points for better lake views though.

... we decided to take a bit of a walk down the infamous Michigan Avenue. Michigan Avenue is also known as the Magnificent Mile; one whole mile of shops, department stores and all the brand name places you could think of visiting. Unfortunately the store we were actually looking for (the Disney store) was closed, however we did do a spot of shopping in Walgreen's, as well as walked through Macy's (think Myer), and the Water ...
... First stop was at Garrets's for popcorn. It smelled amazing and they said it's worth it (I know know since I broke into it!) we went for the Jumbo size of the Chicago mix (cheese and caramel mixed) and a caramel pecan. Delicious! The kids had to get used to so many people and moving fast! Crossing the street was "fun" at first, but they got used to it. We visited Millennium Park, and saw The Bean and the 1000 faces sculpture where the kids took ...
