... be a strong ground of appeal. Curiously the defendant appeared in bright orange jumpsuit and shackled by ankles. There is no secure dock so they sit with everyone in the Court room. In England we have a secure dock. Two Marshalls stand by him and are armed with guns so although my initial thought was "he will run off" his shackles and fear of shooting probably stopped him! In England we neither shackle nor bear arms, hence the secure dock (perhaps more humane?!)
... we arrived at our campground which is a beautiful State park on Lake Michigan. Once fed, a 5 minute walk led us to the water where we watched the changing light from the moon reflect on the water.
On our walk back we watched the fireflies flash in the trees. So cool.

We were hopping on Chicago's public transport to get to the museum this time instead of walking. We are definitely praising the good transport links in Chicago, another reason we loved this city as their buses and trains are regular and well connected. This past year has flown by. We have been in our house a year now and continue to love feeding the deer and birds. Tommy had our first winter garden which we loved! He is now harvesting the summer tomatoes. We have cookouts and music in the park with our friends and family. The lake is overflowing from all the rain and we will see Two Tons of Steel in the park the night before we head out.
