... br> Jen and Matt flew in from Den Hague to spend Easter with us and we enjoyed their company as we explored the Cotswold landscape. We are trying to determine which is actually the prettiest village in England.
My guide said it is Castle Combe, the little village where the movies Dr Doolittle and War Horse were filmed. The Readers Digest suggested it is Bourton-on-the-water -" the Venice of the Cotswolds". ...

We reached the gate with the cattle breathing heavily behind us. It was clear this gate had not been used for some time and we plunged out into a thicket of nettles and thistles. Never have we been so pleased and relieved to feel ...

A travel blog entry by elainesj on Mar 10, 2014

... didn't feel like it. 20 mins dealing with the agent and settling details, 10mins for the car to be washed, 10 mins to inspect the car and load out bags, and another 10 mins to figure out the GPS and where we wanted to go. Noon: lunch at Yo Sushi. 1:30pm: Windsor Castle 2:50pm: finished and left the gates. Ash tired and feeling feverish 3:00pm: figured out directions - off to Castle ...
