... In retrospect, Brian wishes we had done that first, as it explained a lot about what we had just seen. Oh well.

... was when I used the machines at Heathrow to get refunds on our 2 Oyster cards. I got the full 5 deposit back, plus the remaining funds. So I hadn't made a mistake in getting the cards like I originally thought I had. And now I had a hefty pile of coins which would come in handy to pay tolls and parking fees (British money is _heavy_!).

... hallway, we ended up at a small dining area, probably originally used by the servants, but now open for castle visitors.

We ordered pots of tea along with English doughnuts, a type of jelly doughnut but must yeastier, and frankly, tastier than what we can get at home. It was all very decadent.

... we'd finished our dinner we headed to our hotel; The Hilton, Newbury. As Lee went to check in I waited with the bags and spotted a familiar face. It was only bloody Nick Luck from Channel 4's The Morning Line. I'd completely forgotten that it was the Hennessy Gold Cup this weekend!!
