APHRODITE -THE GODDESS OF LOVE IN CYPRUS ISLAND

... and Cythera in Greece were the prominent places where Aphrodite was worshiped. The Roman goddess, Venus has quite often been related to the Greek goddess, Aphrodite. One of the most powerful among the various Greek Gods and Godesses, Aphrodite had the charm and elegance, which she used, to get whatever she wanted. For some she was ruthless, while for others she was caring. With all these great acts to her credit, she has been rightly regarded as one of the greatest Olympian divinities.

... wanted to see everything but
for the fog !!

One or two times in Glasgow I had the feeling that it was Christmas!!!
It was fun because this was the change I needed to have on that trip.
A combination of everything. I was in the jaccuzi, and then in the
swimming pool, all around glass, and I would see the light rain falling,
and everything so green and shiny!!

Looking forward for the next trip which is coming up soon!!

... an international folk-dancintg festival in Vrsac (that is Serbia) where they got some sort of a prize or recognition. Their Turkish did not sound as the Turkish one hears in Turkey. Then just before take-off I have realized that the Turkish poured by the purser over the loudspeakers was not the proper Turkish either. My window sit allows me a new reward for the wait: sunset over Istanbul. Absolutely beautiful, incredible. Choppers with bunches of Japanese and American tourists ...

... strolled along the beach promenade (which was just like any other beach promenade). We made one dissapointing discovery-- Cyprus is expensive. I got a ear of grilled corn (delicious, just like in WI!) but it cost 1 cypriot pound, about $2.30. We are going to be eating a lot of picnics. Today Ben is scouting out bike rentals (there are a number of companies). I need to get some lube for my seat post (it was tough getting it out last time) and then ...

... Line Furthermore (and I only found this out after leaving North Cyprus), There have been reports of many Greek ports not allowing people into the country if they have a North Cyprus stamp on their passport. This seems to have calmed down a bit and I didn't have any problems, but the best practice is to get Cyprus immigration to stamp a separate piece of paper instead of your passport to avoid this. Anyway, enough with ...
