On my last day Jon held an appreciation circle for me where everyone sat down and said something that they were appreciative of, then something that they appreciated about me. Along the route, we topped out at 11,669-feet and enjoyed spectacular vistas of peaks and valleys before arriving in Georgetown, which is squeezed into the narrow valley at the northernmost point of this tour. ...

... It is 9,603 feet above sea level. It was founded by white settlers in 1859 in search of gold. It is now a all season recreation and holiday destination. It has world class ski-ing and in summer offers hiking, bike riding, rock climbing, fishing and kayaking.

It still has a lot of timber historic buildings that now house boutiques, restaurants, cafés and bars. We were surprised to come across a Bubba Gump Shrimp Restaurant.
