      ... fact that we have slept on many different mattresses over the past year we believed Rick's back just needed a rest. He literally spent the entire week at Palm Desert in a lounge chair with a heating pad and aspirin. The back got no better but the calendar told us it is time to leave the desert, catch an early dinner with my mother and then hop on a flight to Santa Rosa to visit our dear friends, Richard and Lyn.

      ... ride where you shoot Zurg and defeat him. Next I went to Adventure land where I went on the Indiana ride where it was a interactive rollercoaster it was a great ride. Next I went to the Disney Castle where I got someone to take a photo of me near the castle. I had some lunch went to the pizza place and had a meat lover pizza. Then I went on a tour called Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps Guided Tour.

      ... martinis. My cross of the segregation line lasted about as long as it took the bouncer from the front door to reach side stage. He was nice about it. But I was immediately reminded of the Beatles plea in “Imagine” for us to “imagine no possessions, greed or hunger.” Five gin and tonics usually puts me in a reflective, idealistic mood.

      We left around midnight and returned home at 1 am after a scenic ride through the Hollywood Hills.
