... had our first (of I'm sure many) trips to TJ Maxx, where we started our treasure hunt looking for clothes and we were able to pick up some very nice bargins for both ourselves and the kids. I had to pick up an almost 600ml drink of Sprite which cost me $1.19 which is basically cheaper than water at home.
After our shopping expedition we headed over to 'Pot Belly' which makes beautiful sub-sandwiches and sat down and enjoyed a sandwich.

... travel digs (tiny rooms at the lowest rate possible), and a far cry from sleeping in a Eurovan in a parking lot! In fact, we were so enamored with the apartment, that we stayed in for the night and relaxed in "our" living room and watched TV, and left the sight-seeing till tomorrow. Now to sink into our super comfy enormous bed and get a good night's sleep....zzzzzz

... last thing before bed I would do yet another ' round' and strangely could see right into other people's lives-a young woman chatting on the phone sitting on her bed, another pottering in her kitchen, a guy swimming in a small communal pool, the modern Edward Hopper painting lives....amazing and the unceasing sound of the Highline 17 floors below, one train leaves, another immediately passes in the opposite direction until 1am when they become less frequent.......
