Then some fitful sleep, and now it's 1015 am in LA, 2 hours and 48 minutes to Sydney. We will arrive at 0550. Breakfast should be served soon.
Have to say Qantas has been very good, Business Class very spacious, staff friendly, food and wine good.

... hour, perfect. We went up in these cars with a revolving floor so you got a full view of everything as you went up. Got to the top and took some amazing pictures. On route to Hollywood we stopped for a Burger King and had a nice drive back. Douria just sat there with her iPod in, I've decided hat I really don't like her, I knew she wouldn't even say thanks when I dropped them off and I was right! ******* ...
Our journey to LA started when we left early on Saturday morning to pick up our car to make our way along the coast of California to Los Angeles. The drive was better than expected, the coastline was probably the most amazing thing I have ever seen in my life, we didn't really know what to expect, but we were so breath taken by the scenery, it really took us by surprise. The pure size of this coastline, the rolling hills, over looking cliff faces ...
... finally got there. We didn't realise how huge their beaches are over here. It was massive. After a good walk along the beach through the sand (which was great for the calf muscles and a stop for photos of the lifeguard tower), we made it up to the pier. The set up they have on the pier is unbelievable. The carnival set-up was awesome. There was something for everyone there. Alyce & Ange went on the Rollercoaster (I didn't but took photos of them on the ride). It ...
Apart form eating (and drinking!) like princes, we also met their delightful dog, Gypsy.
There was a lot of panicking as the evening wore on because my diabetic medication had somehow got lost in transit, and we were not sure if it had been left in the Hertz car, but all attempts to speak to a human in that organisation failed.
Later, when we got back to the Hotel room, we discovered the medication tucked down the side of a suitcase.... ...
