... Oak Island seemed to take forever. We finally made it to the beach house around midnight. My sister, Beth Ann, arrived several hours before us, and my cousin Joe got here right before us. He's on a photo gathering trip and will be staying for several days or however long he wants, or until we get sick of him. Whichever comes first.
Too tired to do anything else, we unpacked and hit the sack.
We left Greenville at 12:30 pm and drove to CLT, parked, checked in (each of our 2 large checked bags were just under the limit of 51lbs... phew!), cleared thru TSA without incident and then relaxed in the USAirways lounge using our complimentary pass until our scheduled 4:45 pm departure to Madrid (MAD). ... in the past 38 days and had some wonderful experences. To say we are tired would be an understatement, but we have a relatively light schedule this week which should provide ample recovery time before returning to the real world next week.
