Eric and I had the privilege to play the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course. This is the course that has the famous #16 par 3 with all the bleachers around the length of the hole. More on that later. We got to the course early and spent some time looking around. The clubhouse was really nice and elevated so you had a great view of 9 and 18. ... about 5.30pm. What a great hotel! We're at the Kierland Resort which is a Westin hotel. We were personally welcomed by the hotel manager, toured around the hotel highlights, which included a golf course with the 18th hole at the hotel lobby and outdoor bar, complete with big fire and outdoor heaters (welcomed because we are in the middle of the 4 coldest days in Phoenix since 1988!) with the sunset piped in by a bagpiper. ...
