    After a leisurely breakfast with Linda it was once again back in the car to head South East to Scottsdale, Arizona.

    Easy drive of around 5 and a half hours through the desert,

    Arrived at Scottsdale at around 1630 hours and we are staying with our friend Sandy Neilson who lives in this fantastic resort style apartment complex. Fantastic to see her again!

    Very hot here - around 110 degrees but a dry heat!

    Quick drive from Palm Desert to Scottsdale. Clearly we are now in full desert mode as we passed the Arizona State line, the Grand Canyon State. Even though our internal temperature read 138 it didn't feel that hot since its a "dryheat". Dry heat or not we were still sweating.     ... since his initial telling of the broken ankle and much relieved to see the apt door open. Actually he was in good spirits considering he has a big cast up to his knee and is not to put ANY weight on it for 6 weeks! A neighbor had just arrived home from the store with supplies for him and I helped carry them up stairs for her.     ... dinner her at home tonight and we relaxed and read our books till bed time when we did another chapter of Dracula-we are halfway on it now. Nice warm day and was able to get some sun! My doctors finally called to tell me they haven't done anything about getting me a specialist apt! They are to call back tomorrow!
