It is really a cool place when you think how what once was under water is now several thousand feet above sea level. Besides once you are in the petrified forest, you don't feel too old. Today was so nice even though it was basically road trip most of the day. We left early and travelled about 3 hours till we stopped to shop at Walmart and get some lunch. The drive to
Scottsdale was fairly long and to entertain us we had coach introductions and a
music quiz,I was teamed with Vivian and we scored 34 out of 40, there were 20
songs and a point each for naming the artist and song name correctly. Monte
told us that the top 10 teams (of 2) would win a prize but it was going to be a
surprise. Vivian and I came second :) It was at ...
(ofcourse visits with the family squeezed in everywhere!!!)
We'd like to thank all of you for sharing this adventure with us and reading faithfully what we were up to. It's been such a fabulous time in our lives that we will never forget. This country is so beautiful and worth venturing out into! We're not done, we can't wait to get those RV wheels rolling again..
