A travel blog entry by marqual

We met a couple and I offered to guide for the day so we caught a taxi van into the city. We took the cable car to a city viewpoint and then had beers and empanadas at a bar in Bellavista.

We had some free …

A few hours in Santiago

A travel blog entry by cj1s17

Well I made it Santiago, Chile for a few hours of sleep before leaving the next day on an early flight.
Although my flight was late, there was no in line to pay the reciprocity fee, or maybe it was because I was coming from Sao Paulo and only certain countries, like the US have to pay this fee. Once I paid the fee, I stood in a short customs …

Now we are back in Santiago.

We did a tour of the city the morning after we arrived. Very interesting but because we were so exhausted from our Bolivian trip, we did not appreciate all that the city has to offer. In the afternoon we did a tour of the Jewish aspects of the city. By then …

    Best pizza

I stayed here in December 2010 before a cruise. The hotel is nice, clean, etc, but the main thing i have to say that I had the best pizza of my life from their room service! I know, it's hard to believe, but it's true. There were several types of fresh mushrooms and great cheese. Far surpassed anything I've had in Italy or Paris (which used to hold the record for me).
