    ... we got into the swing of things.

    We are still looking at snow, it is very pretty, I'm sure some of the back yards looked better because of the snow but it is interesting when you see a swimming pool full of snow. We travelled through snow all the way till just west of Reno, it was around lunch time before we started to see dirt.

    We landed safely in San Francisco after getting a few hours of sleep on the flight over (Gina more so than me). Once on the ground we got in line and waited, and waited, and waited... It took us 2.5 hours to clear customs and immigration as the line was moving excruciatingly slow as three planes landed at roughly the same time with the other two being from china and Korea. The other thing I didn't realize was that people who did not hold Canadian or American ...

    ... fairly fast flowing, there is pretty much nothing to see for the most part.

    We eventually pulled up to Santa Cruz where we ate a Mexican meal and booked into the cheapest motel we have stayed in yet. Just down from the motel, we spotted a good looking wooden roller coaster on the sea front. Matthew asked the manager if it was any good but he didn't know what a rollercoaster was! "You mean tour bus?" he said. No amount of description ...

    ... how I'm going to make it all fit.

    I'm working on getting all of the CDC suggested vaccinations for traveling in China. Mark thinks he's invincible, so he's resisting all the "western medicine". I'm pretty sure my body is totally wimpy and I'm not taking any chances! The LAST thing I need is to get sick while traveling! I've already had the flu shot, chickenpox, polio, MMR, and Hep B.
