Marriott Petra Wadi Musa

... we stopped at a few little stores along the way. One guy, Antonio, gave Jaylynn a keychain with Petra sand. He also gave us a couple of boubles as a gift. Man, these guys are so nice. Another guy came up and gave Jaylynn a small bunch of bananas. Jaylynn had attached herself to me for this trip so everyone thinks she is my daughter. . . She is all sweetness and no 'Ls.' (that is she can't say the letter L.)
Then it was time for sleep. . .

... Petra. I'm still not up to it to be honest but i can't miss seeing Petra especially because its included on my tour. I probably won't go around and see it all but i want to see the khazneh and the siq. Other than that i'm not too fussed. To me it's not really a must see, it's more of a thing to tick off a list.

Anyhow i've missed a lot of stuff out but that will leave stuff for me to talk about when i get back i suppose.

Dus haalde een vriend ons in de woestijn op, ergens werden mijn kisten vandaan getoverd, zodat ik niet mank door de woenstijn hoefde op flipflops, en na een heerlijke falafel uit Atallah's restaurant (hij heeft een stuk of 3 bedrijven en een kast van een huis, waarvan die nog niet de helft echt gebruikt) werden we in Wadi Musa gedropt, waar we zelf voorraad en onze tickets konden kopen en door de hoofdingang Petra mochten betreden.

J' écrirai encore de Jordanie je pense. Je prévois entre autre d'aller dormir dans le désert avec mes amis bédouins et d'aller snorkler à Aqaba.

Petra an einem Tag sehen zu wollen, ist vollkommen unmoeglich - zwei sind Pflicht, aber selbst nach dreien habe ich noch nicht alles gesehen. ... ride a horse. We ride a horse. It was a lot of fun we got to canter and run. When we got to the siq, there was this awesome slot canyon full of people and horses with carts. The wind was rushing through it and everyone's voices echoed in the chambers. It was a 25-minute walk through the Siq. Towards the end you start seeing the famous view of the treasury.
