    ... try every street we thought was sending us closer to our destination. A short time later (read a really long time later) we finally found the castle entrance. We were relieved to get off the bike and enter the castle grounds to see if we could find Mr R HOOD. Unfortunately the only person we discovered robbing the rich to pay the poor was the lady taking the admission payment (or is that robbing the poor to pay the rich!). The admission was worth it ...

    ... from what I would class as a pregnant roller skate to one of their premium cars, a lovely top of the line VW Passat sedan. Thankfully the car was equipt with built in GPS and we were able to travel to our planned destination of Ipswich without any dramas. During the trip we were constantly surprised at the speed some drivers were tavelling at and we could only guess they were pretending the UK motorways were a German autobarn. Hey if you can't beat them join them ...

    ... on the flight - what a lovely person! I even got my gluten free meal!

    Arrived in Newark, New Jersey safely at midnight, English time about 7pm local time. Newark is justv across the Hudson river from New York and we can clearly see the Manhatten skyline

    Very warm here. Hotel superb, a couple of beers and then to bed.

    Look forward to getting the bike ...

    Today we drove to Spilsby, a lovely little village in Lincolnshire to visit Bob's Uncle Bill ( Dad's brother) &his wife Ann, he took us to his local pub for lunch,very enjoyable, met some of the locals.     ... Scott Polar Institute and Museum, which had just opened a new exhibition on polar expeditions.

    Everyone rides bicycles! Reminded me of Copenhagen. Apparently, Cambridge is the cycling capital of the UK.
    There was a street fair on the first Saturday of December, including Morris dancers and other entertainment and lots of food vendors.
