Express checkout from Cabana Bay, taxi down the road to pick up our car (Chrysler 200), road trip down the Florida Turnpike (a major arterial tollway road) to Fort Lauderdale. Got into Fort Lauderdale (3 and a half hours - 346 km) around 2 pm. We get a table service meal, a counter service meal and a snack for each day of our stay, but we can use them at any time and in any order. The check in procedure was long winded and slow made more so by the "oh so helpful" booking clerk trying to move us into a disabled room near the lobby (actually the room is fine it's the people who are disabled) and the need to explain the new RFID bracelets.
