    The heavy fog we encountered on the way here last night and which was still a pea souper when we went to bed, had lifted this morning and we took a drive down to the shore of Lake Michigan for a look.     But we decided to take full advantage of the 24 hour extortionate parking and have a look around the windy city the next day. We ended up popping in to lots of expensive shops, eyeing up the huge buildings, went in to a cafe with 'tea' in its name and still failed to find a decent cuppa (it's impossible out here amongst the coffee drinkers of America), had lunch at tgi Friday and then hit the road.
