Marriott Miami Dadeland

... on the not so nice part of town. I think that KOA's are more classy than that Days Inn. They did however have a pool and we we're all pretty excited about that. Something to cool us off after that long day of driving.

One the Second night we found something a little better in both location and amenities. The Tropi-Rock Resort, just two blocks from the Famous Grand Fort ...

Cruised into Ft Lauderdale early Sat morning. From here we transfered to the airport for our flight back home to San Francisco. We got to the Airport around 10 am and our flight didn't leave till 4 pm. Arrived to San Fanncisco around 9 pm. Loong day but happy to be home.

Or was it??

Snitch flew down & met me at our hotel, which is where we have stayed for 3 days.... the decisions we had to make:

When to go down to the pool
Which bed to sleep on
When to turn over
When to go for a swim
When to have a cocktail...

It has taken some serious thought!! Just in case you can't picture it I've added some of my own!

... our luggage and made our way to the boarding gate. Over the last few days my nerves about flying had been building and at the airport the pressure built up even more. Despite taking sedatives, I suddenly broke down and announced to Jim that I couldn't get on the plane! Jim tried to get the airline (American) to unload our luggage, but it was too late and they refused. I felt awful, helpless and such an idiot. The story so far...
I'm not that good on the internet, hence the fact that I've only just set up my blog and it's 5 days into the trip - still that's not that bad going for me, I did think it would of taken me longer, if not at all. Please also excuse any bad grammar and punctuations (my mum will scrutinise exactly what I have written incorrectly I'm sure). ... kurzfristig zu Geld gekommen, denn wir haben die $20 Eintritt gespart, weil er eine Flasche gesponsert hat ($370). Sein Cousin, den wir ein paar Wochen zuvor in Ft. Pierce besucht haben, war auch da. Alles in allem ein super Abend. Samstag also ausschlafen und mal wieder ab an den Strand. Man will ja nicht als Käse aus Miami zurückkommen. Wollten dann Samstag eigentlich schon wieder wenigstens was trinken. Geendet ist das aber gegen 11 Uhr im Bett. To be continue...

... ein schöner Club, aber 20 Dollar Eintritt? "Rum Cola please and keep the tab open." Leider wurde dann nurnoch Latino Musik gespielt, was das tanzen wirklich erschwert hat. Ich wurde dafür gut unterhalten, weil der Arbeitskollege eine Frau ganz nett fand und mir mal gezeigt hat, wie man in Miami auch Geld zum Fenster rauswerfen kann. ... Not only did I have no money - the cashpoint machine was out of funds too. I explained this to the gentleman behind the counter of the aptly named London Supply office, whose designated job it was to relieve me of my money, but all he did was confiscate my boarding pass until I paid him! ... frustration for Kelly, who refused to study the diagram to understand, and would get mad at me for dragging her all over the ship. Anywhoo...we were exhausted from a long day of travel, so we retired early to catch some TV, unpack, and relax. On a side note, our cabin had a large window, our first exterior cabin. Between the window and the ginger capsules, I found I was having much less trouble with nausea than our previous cruise.
