Great airport hotel. Very comfortable room, everything was clean and proper. The bar was amazing, I have never seen a place with so many TV sets, 32 I counted, and on at the same time, playing about 6 different programmes. Very unusual in European terms.

I've stayed at 6 or 7 different motels during this trip to the US and two of those were the Marriott. On both occasions, I have been extremely disappointed to find that they do not provide free in-room WiFi. There is free WiFi in the public areas, but this is extremely frustratingly slow - this was enough to put me off staying at the Marriott in the future, if I have a choice. On both occasions, the Marriott was the venue for workshops I was attending. Having said that, the staff at the Marriott are very helpful and friendly.

Great room shame about the Sports Bar

Date of visit: 7-9January '05. While the location to the airport was where we wanted, and our room excellent, high floor overlooking the runway (bit noisy but we asked for this view) a gorgeous bed which was devine to sleep in we also agree with previous reviewer and the Sports Bar staff's attitude, wish I had taken the guy behind the bar's name as sounds like the same one or maybe they are all trained that way as likewise we were not offered any change after buying drinks from the bar, & the wait staff were practically non existent on a very quiet night. Tour desk most helpful with our requests. Would consider staying there again but byo in drinks & eats.

        Convenient with Helpful Staff!

We stayed for two nights the first week in January and picked this location based on its proximity to the airport and access to major freeways. The staff was very courteous and seemed sincerely interested in answering our questions. In addition, we had a room with a balcony overlooking the pool area, which was nice because the rain had subsided briefly during our stay. There are three restaurants and a Starbucks cafe, so you can have a late night dinner, which we did one night, and grab a coffee on your way to the airport. The shuttles run on a regular basis, which makes your trip to the airport easy.

A couple of words of caution - we did not receive our wakeup call for our early flight home, but, luckily, woke up on our own. In addition, they charged us for an extra day of parking, although we had taken our rental car back early, so check your bill carefully.

Overall, it's a good value for the location and amenities.

        "top hotel"

i was in the marriott hotel a couple of times with my aunty who works for an irish airline company! i found the hotel most pleasant, the staff are all lovely and helpful! they give you alot of ideas on what to do with your time that you have there in l.a! the hotel itself is great and looks stunning both inside and out! the rooms are big and have great views of the marina that the hotel overlooks! the location of the hotel was brilliant for myself it has numerous shops and nail bers around it so i could treat myself! it is also about a 5 min walk away from venice beach, which you cn have a pleasant walk down to go to santa monica shopping for every thing you need! once again thought that this hotel was a top hotel and cannot wait untill i go back there again!

        Most Insincere, horrible service ever!

Stayed at the Marriott on a business related trip just last week and experienced the worst customer service from both hotel and restaurant staff. My room had been reserved for over a month and upon arrival was told that my room ws not "ready" to check in and would take an hour for the staff to clean. I checked back in an hour and a half and the room was still not "ready", in fact it took 5 more hours before the hotel could finish a room for me. I had just traveled over 10hours between cars, layovers, flights, etc. and the customer service desk was very insincere and unhelpful - they were almost jovial and laughing about not having a room ready for me. The next evening I met a coworker for a cocktail in the inhouse sports bar where I payed for my $4.40 drink with a $20 bill and was only given $5.50 back in change. Normally I am a big tipper, but $10.10 is a bit much, and when i asked the bartender about it he was extremely unapologetic and threw my $10 back across the bar to me (still keeping the 10 cents haha). The third and final day my business associates and I were meeting in a large dining hall for a buffet lunch where the tuxedo clad attendants would not let us sit down because tables were reserved. We were not allowed to have silverware and the servers told us to hunt around the dirty tables to find silverware as there was none left in the kitchen. My coworkers and I had to eat our lunch, with our hands, standing up in the hallway. Most horrible service ever. I would never recomend this hotel to neither the road wary traveler nor the company looking for a business conference.

You can't beat the Marriott for Service and Quality

Excellent service! The staff was wonderful and bent over backwards to assist us in driving directions even when we just called in to the hotel from our location! The rooms were superb and they upgraded my stay without any hassles for the entire 10 days. The cleaning staff was also great. And the food in the hotel was awesome! P.S. it was significantly cheaper than the Radisson!

Great price, great location, great room!

After staying at the Westin LAX last month and have a horrible experience, I switched to the Marriott for this trip. Admittedly, I set low expectations--after all, it was still an airport hotel. What a pleasant surprise! First of all the rate was about $40 a night less than the Westin (and I do love a bargain!). Next, though extremely busy, the hotel was blissfully quiet. The room was fine--not as large or plush as the Westin, but more than comfortable. The service was great too! Now, I wouldn't want to spend a week here--it's an airport hotel. But for the price it was a great stay. I will definitely be here again on my next trip to LA.

        Very nice.

Our family stayed here for the last night of our two week vacatoin in LA. We wanted to be close to the airport to catch our early-morning flight. We were able to return our rental car the night before our departure, and we took the hotel's free shuttle to the airport in the morning. It worked out perfectly.

We enjoyed the hotel's beautiful swimming pool and jacuzzi. We also liked the Starbucks Cafe. My daughter and I also took advantage of the Beauty Salon and had our nails manicured while the men in the group took a nap on the comfy beds.

        Ideally situated.

Located close to the Terminals and car rental agencies, this hotel is ideally situated for those arriving after a long haul flight and not wanting to negotiate an unfamiliar city looking for a place to stay. The staff are courteous and efficient and there is an excellent sports bar on the ground floor. The pool area is well laid out and spacious. The rooms vary in size and it is worth asking on arrival if they have any large rooms with a view across the runway, which, though not an aircraft geek myself, I found quite an interesting and entertaining way of spending a few minutes.

        Great package

After having tried other hotels same category I stay at the Mariott since a couple of years and will do so again in Mai and June .

Clean quiet rooms , good beds and above all the friendly stuff in all positions make me feel at ease .

Fitness facility and pool area are both great .

It's perfect for starting and ending my vacation - look forward to stay there soon again .

        Good and reliable hotel

I stay at this Marriott everytime I visit LA for business which is about every two to three months. This hotel is stable and reliable. The only drawback is the rooms are starting to show some date but the beds are terrific with down pillows and comforter. The rooms are quiet and clean. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. From the front desk clerks, concierge and valet, everyone is attentive and concerned about your welfare and comfort. This attention keeps me coming back trip after trip. The hotel is located just down the road from LAX and has easy access to the 405 and 105. The in-house restaurants serve every need you may have for an easy and quick breakfast to a formal dinner or evening watching Monday Night Football in the sports bar. You can't miss with this hotel.

Have a very long layover thanks to the flight getting in 4 hours late last night. The kids and I have just been goofing off in LA today. Went to In-n-Out Burger. Daughter just raved about it. Also went to Manhattan Beach and goofed off a bit.

Since traveling from Indio to LAX is always such a joy, we decided to go the night before to beat the mess on LA's freeways. Tonight's game 7 of the NBA playoff series and we're going to the Champions Sports bar at the Marriott to cheer the GS Warriors on to victory. And the Warriors rule! First quarter looked grim, but then they went into overdrive. Thunder looked thunderstruck!
