We thought we had it all worked out. It was mid-week and autumn so it was sure to be quiet however it turned out that it was Veterans Day. Therefore unfortunately for us, Disneyland was EXTREMELY BUSY! We arrived to see the biggest car park in North America being filled. We finally got in, and after waiting in various lines throughout the day managed to tackle ...

Long Beach, California, United States martartu... the boys road trip, but memorable all the same.

As Debbie and Rick had discovered earlier the choice of bar and restaurant was limited to one of each that were actually open aboard and there was nothing else close by.......so we dispersed to freshen up and met up again a while later for a drink and a very enjoyable meal. By which time Jeff had realised that he still had possession of his bike keys......so a trip back to EagleRider was necessary after all!
Long Beach, California, United States chrissief13Freitag, 29.
Long Beach, California, United States manuelajocelyne... it. Naturally, I forgot a couple of things, like a comb, shampoo and deodorant. Fortunately they have those things readily available in Europe, so I just resigned myself to buying them when I got to Stuttgart. The van did have to wait a little bit for me, and of course I was the last person on. When I got in I looked over my shoulder at a full van and apologized for keeping them waiting. Then we headed to the airport. Checking ...
Long Beach, California, United States harrellrl... there this time is our friend, Shari (yes, there is another one of us), was working in the area and we would be hanging out with her for a night... not to mention crashing her hotel room! We did quite a bit of shopping to stock up on some supplies. You would think it's fairly easy to find stuff in Australia and New Zealand like contact supplies and shoes ...
Los Angeles, California, United States sfrtw... horn. I miss her terribly. Our goodbyes were hard. Joseph left early for a work trip (thank heaven) so I didn't have to be annoyed with him when we were leaving. Emily gave the family her old, but still working perfectly, digital camera so we took a group picture on it for the first picture on it. We said our sad goodbyes and Em and I cried in the taxi to the airport. I know we'll see them again, but in the meantime there is email. Of all of them, I ...
Los Angeles, California, United States magental73We arrived ahead of schedule and was tied up at the dock by 7.30 am. By the time we had breakfast, finished packing our cases and went down to disembark we were some of the first in line to be cleared at 8.30 am. From the dock we caught a taxi to pick up our rental car to begin our car trip to Palm Desert, several hours drive east of Los Angeles.
Long Beach, California, United States davidwoolley... and my wardrobe doesn't equip me for those temperatures! We spent all morning walking around town taking in the sights including the town hall and the uninspiring harbour. Decided that we had no choice but to spend the $20 and take a trip up the tower. Pretty steep but there was nothing better to do. The tower was identical in every way to the Macau Tower. You can climb the tower, sky jump (they say it is the tallest but Macau is taller) and there are glass floors to scare ...
