Unbelievable hotel. Stayed on the 19th floor looking out the convention center area. Eased the heartbreak of being away from my family on Christmas.

... good quality time together and even explore the beautiful outdoor mall of Zona Rosa here in KC. Currently, we are watching the NBA Finals game and I am doing some last-minute checks. I am more than excited to get on the plane to Paris, despite Mia warning me that it "might go down." I am set to arrive in Paris 8:25 a.m. their time and I cannot wait to get to France! Au revoir America and j'aimez vous tous! ...

... we will be doing over the next 13 days.

Also, once I get home from this trip, I will have to finish out my Guatemala blog. It was a CRAZY 5 days that I had between my trips. I had 5 cheer practices, 4 job interviews, 2 photography sessions, lots of laundry, 1 job acceptance and a ton of time with my family before heading out on trip number 2. :)

Happy to share with you my travels on this trip. Hope you enjoy reading! :) ...

... what we would do if a tornado actually formed to which my only belief is that we would quite literally poop ourselves and then get swept up like Dorothy’s house. But eventually, after 10 hours of nothing, we made it to Days Inn in Kansas City which, compared to the last hotel we stayed in, made me feel like I was at the Ritz Carlton. I know I said in the beginning never to come to Kansas, and I still stand by that even though ...

... Waste Adventure Trail. It was used first as a explosive plant and then during WWII they used it to process uranium. In 2001 they finished cleaning up the site and it now has a 45 acre mound that covers all the old buildings that used to be there. It had an awesome information center and a beautiful view from the top of the mound - though the walk was a little tiring. From there we headed to Kansas City. After checking into our hotel around 4, ...

... full tummys we set off for Kansas City. Trev drove, and I took the opportunity for a mid-morning snooze after my hearty breakfast! We left South Dakota and drive through Iowa and Nebraska, arriving in Kansas City, Missouri at about 4pm. The staff at the Intercontinental hotel were great, and recommended that we go to a nearby BBQ restaurant. Kansas City is a place I whole heartedly fell ...
