I really liked the Marriott. The rooms were large enough, the bathroom adequate and I particularly liked the separate mirrored/lighted area containing the hair dryer that prevented one from having to deal with a fogged up bath mirror. We were on the sixth floor and had a true oceanview balcony. The beach was well kept, the water lovely, and the only issue was the difficulty in finding a chair if one arrived on the beach past nine am.

i had a great time at the marriot, the staff were very good to us and the general manager of the hotel was very nice.
My boyfriend and i went to the Marriot Beach Resort from 27th Jan-3rd Feb and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
Good, not luxurious, can't fault it though
Stayed here for a week, and really enjoyed the stay. The beach is private and well waitered, with a nearby diving centre - great snorkelling and great day trip! Travel to Luxor was well worth doing, but it was along day, hotel provided takeaway breakfast etc.
Whilst the pool and facilities were good, the lack of night life at the hotel was a disappointment. The food is more than adequate for a buffet, plenty of variety, fresh dishes etc, rooms are cleans and generally the place is very quiet.
Whilst not being over luxurious it's a pleasant stay, and a welcoming feel is recieved daily.

Good stay but...
We were quite impressed with the Marriott but had made the mistake of booking half board. It is a nice hotel, lovely little beach, lovely little island, good pools. The room was excellent, the staff were OK too but we did not get on with the evening meal- funny really when you think we really enjoyed breakfast. So just book B&B, they have a good italian restaurant and a nice cafe by the pool which does good straight forward food.
We knew what to expect as far as entertainment went and that is why we choose this hotel. There are some good trips from here too - snorkeling and scuba diving plus the opportunity to travel to Luxor.
the marriot is a very average standard marriot hotel, nightime entertainment very poor, nice basic room with very good view of sea, food plentiful and very nice, if you want really basic hotel as opposed to grand style then the marriot is okay if on the other hand its a spoiling holiday then give it a miss and book another hotel
We were in the Marriott Hurghada last week, 29th April to 5th May, having booked the hotel and flights directly rather the usual package to fit in with connections from Belfast.
We spent a week at the Marriott, Hurghada in April 2005. Lovely hotel, nice rooms, good food, overall very relaxing and good facilities for what we wanted - a week of sun and rest. I had only two complaints - the very slow service at the beach restaurant and Armadillo restaurant, this was fine when you had nothing else to do but wait but on our last day when we had allowed for the slow service before our pick up to the airport it wasn't so funny. My other complaint was towels! After the first day, you never had a full complement- always something was missing, either face towels, bath mat or, even one day, bath towels! Apart from that the service was very good, the staff on the whole, very helpful and pleasant, especially Mohammed in the Island Bar, he virtually ran the whole place single handed and remained cheerful under pressure. The facilities are excellent too and I would certainly return to the hotel if we ever went back to Hurghada which, as we don't dive, is probably unlikely.

We stayed at the Marriott Hurghada for 7 days in December.The customer service at the hotel was excellent.The only negative we have to complain about is the selection of bevrages at the breakfast.The hotel need to offer water as well as more drink selections.The rooms were very nice.The staff was A1!!! Very friendly.We called to make the reservation and spoke with Abeer.She was excellent.She went out of her way to assure that our reservations and transportation were exactly what we wanted.She came through for us!!! Thanks.She is an asset to Marriott.We would definatly stay at the Hurghada Marriott again!!!
