This was a nice place to stay. The shuttle was very convenient, the rooms were nice, the pool was gorgeous. The restaurant hours were a little weird, but oh well. The staff was friendly and spoke great English. Not as pretty as it shows on the website, but it was convenient and and really nice inside. Very pleased!

    Great Airport Hotel

We were very impressed with the free taxi pickup from (and back to) the airport. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pool and steam room were great way to unwind after a long flight and the rooms themselves were immaculate. Very good value for money indeed!

Managed my allotment of 15 pounds for my back pack carry-on and 24 pounds for checked luggage. Thank you Cece for the use of your scale & for driving me to the airport. I was very excited entering the Cathay Pacific plane. They have little pods, like having your own room on the plane. On other airlines they would have 3 seats for each pod space. …

Took a glass floor gondola up to Ngong Ping. Hiked up to the big Buddha and did a walk to see the wisdom sticks. Very cool walks. Also saw a martial arts performance. Went for a fancy Thai dinner at the golf course and watched airplanes come in.

Arrived at Hong Kong. Sooooooo excited. HK Airport massively impressive. Found our coach transfer. Stepping outside was like stepping into an oven - a very hot one - maybe a pizza oven.  Staying at airport hotel as only here for a stop over. Too excited not to venture into city which was 30mins on train.  Found loads and loads of shops, …

Our first day trip in Hong Kong was to the Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery. The statue and monastery are accessible by a 4 hour hike up sheer cliffs OR by cable car from Tung Chung. We opted for the glass bottom cable car route.
At the top we found a small shopping area featuring several American eateries and some souvenir shops. From there …

... Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. My favourite was Shrek.

We're pretty tired now, waiting for our flight to London. It's nearly 11pm here, but that's nearly 2am at home, and we haven't had any sleep yet. Hopefully we'll sleep on the way to London (and hopoefully there won't be any babies crying the whole way like on the last plane.
