Thomasville, North Carolina, United States mercedesbump... br>
Mom and I went to Food Lion and stocked up on, well, mainly cheese. It was such great weather I told her we needed to take the dog somewhere different to walk. All I could manage to convince her to do was to go down the highway to the Veterans’ Memorial Park. It’s basically a paved circular walkway. It wasn’t wonderful, but at least we weren’t sitting in the house watching the food channel!!
Stokesdale, North Carolina, United States padrepam... he had a rough "terrible two's") stage, and we still have to watch carefully so he won't tear out of the front door for one of his high speed runs, but for the most part he is well behaved and extremely smart! The first picture was taken when we first got him; the second shows a more mature dog! He still loves to take a toy outside with him when he goes for a walk.

And I have arrived!
As I ...
Stokesdale, North Carolina, United States padrepam... Lyrics :"California, here we come" musical inspiration from the start. The road music is bound to be great, Sumner hooked us up with a Sirius radio. So far we've got some Rider's in the Storm, Yellow Submarine, and Bennie and the Jets.

Headed down to Greensboro, NC to stay with good ole pal Justin Cohee. I hate being in this car, I want to scream and shout. Fast driving just sounds like a bad idea..Better things ahead...
Greensboro, North Carolina, United States ktowers86... its former state (i.e. tan 1970's microwaves). The fun part (or at least initially) was realizing that all of the rooms had themes. Our room was the Demon Deacon room. The Demon Deacon is the mascot for Wake Forest, which was literally right down the road from us. So, it was exciting to find out everyone's theme, including our and the Arnold Palmer room. The downside... the Demon Deacon is a creepy creepy figure. There he was in a huge poster ...
Winston Salem, North Carolina, United States tourdevBob set his phone alarm for 6:30 AM. I must have this built in alarm clock in my head because I woke up at 6:28 AM. After I showered I headed downstairs to take my bike apart and pack it in the case. Bob helped as much as he could, but the soft cast on his arm and a hand that looked like the Incredible Hulk's hand made it challenging. We were able to get everything apart except we could not get ...
Greensboro, North Carolina, United States cindysellsjohnsToday is a big day. Today marks the seventh anniversary of Andy's death.
.
I am amazed at the number of opportunties I have had to share Andy's story in the past seven years. I hope that each time I tell his story, whether it is to one person or a group of people ...
Greensboro, North Carolina, United States cindysellsjohns... Wyndham, etc. We hit the road and took us about 7 hours to get back to Gboro. I took the wheel and let Pops rest. We both shared our time under the weather but managed to rally quickly on the trip. And what a trip it was- too many memories, sights and great times to recount yet- need to reflect some more and hopefully the pics/videos will do a little justice. A trip we'll definitely never forget. Thanks Pops.
Greensboro, North Carolina, United States heelsoutwest... I didn't have either one. I got the chicken biscuit and learned that they don't lie here in the South. The sandwich was a piece of fried chicken comforted by a biscuit. Amazingly, they managed to make these two lonely staples of country living taste good without accoutrement. Actually, "good" is charitable. Let's just say it didn't taste bad, though the physics of sandwich making would suggest the opposite result of that pairing. Also, let ...
