Oh, lovely Fort Wayne. I was lucky enough to drive there from Chicago. The drive there was fine, but then the blizzards hit and the temperatures dropped. I'm not sure I can remember being in weather that cold. So that alone, will always make Fort Wayne very memorable. It was very similar temperatures to Chicago during that time...-11 and -25 in windchills. Awesome! I think I saw about a 5 mile radius of the city because it was impossible to drive. The drive home from Fort Wayne took me about ...

OK we have done the final gather of "stuff"....from spatulas to spare batterys and have the Honda Oddessey preliminarily packed for the big adventure! We start tomorrow after Tom works the morning and Maria gets home from a half day of school. We can't wait!
The plan is to drive to Indy and drop the kids and Lauren off at the Indianapolis Zoo while Tish and I pick up the RV and do an orientation......a TWO HOUR orientation! They ...
It is Saturday night, early, only about 7pm, and we just finished packing for our vacation. We didn't get anything ready early because this vacation was a surprise for the kids. We planned the whole vacation and kept it a secret from the kids until last night, when we sprung it on them out of the blue. They were certainly surprised and looking forward ...
Convoy, Ohio, United States kellyfromohio... arrived at 2pm and due to rain there was nothing to do we decided to continue our trip towards Indiana in order to gain some ground. This decision was a lucky one as the whole area that we were going to drive through was starting to flood and had we waited another 24 hours we would have been stuck for another couple of days or more. Unluckily we tried to contact the people we were going to meet at Belleville on their mobile but US public phones have posed a ...
Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States veromarcos... that will effect a significant portion of the next part of my life. I am going to Paraguay on a one way ticket, with no solid dates of return. Knowing this brings to mind all of the what if's? But those thoughts and my struggles even now as I prepare are just the gentle or not so gentle reminders of my need to have complete trust in my savior Jesus Christ.
Paulding, Ohio, United States missionsgirl... just recently decided that obtaining full time employment in the classical sense is not my calling, and have chosen to try my hand at the world. July will take me history hopping in Israel(birthright israel), August brings Red Sea diving and temples in Egypt, and the first two weeks of September will be spent in ancient cities and desert oases in Jordan. It sounded ...

The Artemis has rooms set up in an Apartment style...each has a bathroom, kitchen, one or two bedrooms, a living room, and balconies! Our balcony faces the mountain that I have yet to climb. :) They let us go to bed after eating a Greek meal.
Indianapolis, Indiana, United States vagabond07... It was always going to be a quickie visit, mostly due to budget and time constraints. It was a great quickie visit, and we both figure we'll go back sometime. As cities go, it's definitely liveable. And I've become a major city-hater.
After seeing the sights for awhile, we headed back to the train and then the car. We wanted to get in some driving. The time zones have been against us on this trip--heading East, we're ...
... honeymoon. Thanks to technology we're inviting our friends and family to vicariously join us. Along the way we will make journal entries and upload photos. You'll receive an email notification when we do. If you're interested, please join us when you can. Beats being forced to endure someones home movies! Patrice and Jay
Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States kumarandvm... again, and they didn't know if they'd ever see me again. We passed a sign: "Indianapolis: 37 miles". I watched as sign after sign reminded me of how much closer I was coming to my future, and how much further I was going from my past. Would I stay or would I go? Would I get on that plane and face such an uncertain future, or would I turn and run? I would know soon enough. The radio kept cutting out as we flew through county after county, so we ...
