      Salute to Henry Ford

A travel blog entry by carmandy on Oct 14, 2014

After a rather interesting breakfast we headed out to the Henry Ford Museum - which is much more than just a car museum. There were trains, planes, of course automobiles. Furniture, farm machinery, women's rights, civil war info - I can see why they say it takes a day to complete - it's huge. After a few hours walking around we'd seen pretty much all we wanted to. On the way home Andy saw a cheap massage so that's where we spent the ...

      Back to USA

A travel blog entry by carmandy on Oct 13, 2014

... Michigan arriving about 6pm. Supposedly a 4 hour trip (according to the GPS) but we did detour a couple of times both accidentally and on purpose so it took us about 6 hours. Chris dropped us back at the hotel but she had to rush home ...

In one week the preparation ends. The packing ends. My time with family and friends ends. And, in one week, the adventure begins.

In one week I will be leaving home for Europe. As I say my farewells, book my hostels, make my final packing list and look at the things I have bought and gathered in preparation for the trip, I realize that I have hit the point of no return. I thought that ...

      Altered Plans

A travel blog entry by linusvpelt on Feb 27, 2010

Arrived on time in Detroit (Delta). After grabbing $16 worth of McDonald's we went to the gate (of course as always had to travel from C Concourse to A Concourse down through tunnel of love) sat a gate for a little while when they told us of a maint. issue with our plane and sent us to another gate. We sat at that gate for a while, then boarded only to sit down and have the pilot come on to say that this plane to was 'broken' (his words) and the de-icers were ...
