Phew... Going through US Customs was a bit trying... No searching but a lot of questions meant - I supposed - to catch us with something bad... Who knows. We did not loose any meal. We're in the middle of a fairground, with a weak WiFi but OK. The only analog TV channels are from Detroit but the Detroit area offers 22 digital channels, many
Longer day than expected but we grinded the flying condo to a halt. No problem other than a sticking lock on the propane door.

Ah Detroit...home to the Pacers-Pistons brawl at the palace, the Russian national hockey team, and what will be the remnants of the once great American auto-industry once the bailout money is misappropriated and gone. I just had a burger at Chili's too for lunch, figuring it will be the last ...
Detroit, Michigan, United States jknoff22Our bags are packed... we're ready to go. Could be a good song! We've finally managed to squeeze our belongings into suitcases weighing less than fifty pounds. I actually started packing Saturday, weighing, adjusting, repacking, matching outfits until I maximized all my choices. Thank God for Chico's!!! I'm counting on hot weather, and, if not, luckily there will ...
Detroit, Michigan, United States marwilt... would ever come to be realized. Between incessant court-dates, elusive probation officers, and my own hemorrhaging of funds from traffic tickets and ubiquitous overdraft fees, my final days in the US felt like a hobble rather than a sprint to the finish. Intermittently, I felt moments of disdain for the place I was raised. A string of memorable weekend getaways with accompaniment from Daniel Pachota (born in South Dakota) amounted in my final days of summer, indicative of my longing to ...
Grosse Ile, Michigan, United States josephp10155... 200 metres/yards when I am stopped (it took them a while to notice me). I am informed that this is a secure area and told to drive back around to the entrance to Canada. Somehow we find our way back under the bridge and park outside a boom gate. I am then escorted up to the admin area where they try to locate our papers. Start talking to one of the guys there telling him where we are going he says he wouldn't drive 2 hours to see his ...
Detroit, Michigan, United States cadelec... on October 4th. The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem is NOT a single location event but rather a worldwide celebration day when LOCAL CHURCHES pray for Jerusalem in their Sunday services, in accordance with Psalm 122:6. There will be a Jerusalem Celebration on this day carried live on GOD TV around the world, but the real thrust of the initiative is on the local church level. Please BE ...
Detroit, Michigan, United States travelujah... We will be spending our first 2 nights in Bangkok. We're going to be visiting 14 cities in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand over the next 4 weeks. Hope to hear from some of you along the way.
Take care,

... and I can even see their antenna in front of us. While it's advertised as the Detroit-Greenfield KOA, there is no KOA sign anywere other than on their folder. An OK place but not shining. After 5:00 pm, the message on their main line asks to dial - in case of emergency - another number that returns you to the same message left on the main line ...
Detroit, Michigan, United States averynet... know the words to describe that. We also got to sit in the same bus, in the same seat, that the now infamous ROSA PARKS sat in - (the young black girl that was arrested for not giving up her seat to the white man). That really epitomised what this whole museum is all about ...... the people that are instrumental in changing the face of the world. There was a whole section on the inspirational presidents (the actual chair in which Abraham Lincoln ...
Detroit, Michigan, United States foremanI ventured for a rather long walk on the morning of Saturday, 6th September. Walked down Woodward avenue to downtown Detroit. There I happened to meet a tour guide who does walking tours. We went for a 2 hour walking tour of the city. Took some photos - notably one of Mr Cadillac's staute - the French gentleman who had founded the city of Detroit. Click the photos for a brief description.
