Today, Oscar and I spent a happy hour wandering around a farm museum in Littleton. There were two farms which had been taken down from the local area and reconstructed to show life in 1860 and 1890 - pre and post railroad coming to Colorado.

The weather was hot and it was quite interesting to see the contrast between the two - and the contrast to Manor Farm back home! There ...

      The Sixth Day (Denver)

We woke up and went upstairs to have some really nice pancakes for breakfast. Then Dad, Chris and I went to Jax and then the lab. Jax was a outdoors store which sold fishing gear and bait which is what we needed to get. As I mentioned before, I am sad this trip ...

As soon as we had breakfast we headed out to check out two additional RV parks. Both are in State Parks, one in Aurora and the other in Littleton. We'll go to Aurora first then Littleton and we will go say hi to Linda and Family. Our RV reservations are not looking good. There is room in the state parks during the week days, but every weekend through August is already taken. We can't make reservations on site, have to call or make them on-line. We leave ...

... Castle Point for the full Walmart experience....good god! Somewhat overwhelming to say the least....but eventually we found most things, spent a small fortune and headed for the Chatfield State campground, which was stunning! Quite a surprise as it was only planned to be a quick and convenient stop, but in fact was lovely, by the side of a lake and very pretty. We think it is an old Engineer Corps ...
