Today, Oscar and I spent a happy hour wandering around a farm museum in Littleton. There were two farms which had been taken down from the local area and reconstructed to show life in 1860 and 1890 - pre and post railroad coming to Colorado.

... We retraced our drive back towards the highway and pulled off at one of the many open space parks along the creek, Lair o the Bear. We walked a few of the trails, intended to stay in the shade along the creek, but part of that path was closed due to recent flooding. So, we took the trail up the bluff. It wasn't a strenuous hike but it felt great to be outside and stretch our legs.
As soon as we had breakfast we headed out to check out two additional RV parks. Both are in State Parks, one in Aurora and the other in Littleton. We'll go to Aurora first then Littleton and we will go say hi to Linda and Family. Our RV reservations are not looking good. There is room in the state parks during the week days, but every weekend through August is already taken. We can't make reservations on site, have to call or make them on-line. We leave ...

Somewhat overwhelming to say the least....but eventually we found most things, spent a small fortune and headed for the Chatfield State campground, which was stunning! Quite a surprise as it was only planned to be a quick and convenient stop, but in fact was lovely, by the side of a lake and very pretty. We think it is an old Engineer Corps ...
... to why Kansas has so many tornados. We stopped at a gas station and my gas cap blew away in the wind. I had to go running after it.
