... The coffee shop was still overflowing as I walked back home so I resisted again. Afternoon was for making my mum's now famous 1-1-1 slice for Feast in the evening. It was at Melvina's home,. I was honoured to meet more friendly open people and ended up in deep discussion with a neurological psychologist who has just submitted a paper to the White House to reform the education system! Tomorrow is Fort Worth to do a museum or two and to see some Texan Longhorn Cattle. ...

Once in Austin, it was fried chicken at Lucy's- fun to sit out in the cool evening air with a tin bucket of fried chicken- and some FRIED deviled eggs. Yep- gotta get a cholesterol check once we return ...

... junk in our systems we really wanted a proper meal and so headed to Romanos Macaroni grill for dinner, which we had been to in florida for some good old fashioned Italian.

The next morning we steered clear of the hotel breakfast and instead found a little diner down the road where I tried for the first time, biscuits and gravy. This was actually quite good and tasted like a savoury scone, topped with a pepper sauce. Not your traditional breakfast, but when in ...

14th May Wed continued We continued down the rode and had a look at a town called Sulfur. It was a pretty old school looking town. We had a look at a national park which had pretty lakes and green camping spots to stay. It was early in the day so we thought we would move on and get to Dallas. We were both keen for a quiet spot to camp before another city so I googled and had a look at the Dallas map. We were luckily right near ...
