... Empereur in the 7th arrondissement. You can see the dome of the Les Invalides, which is holds the military history museum and Napolean’s tomb. I am meeting Rick Steve’s tour at 3pm. So I have the morning and early afternoon on my own. Most museums are closed today. I might do the boat trip on the canal St. Martin today. Once we all meet at 3 there is a neighborhood orientation walk, private panoramic bus tour, and a welcome to Paris ...

... now that I'm home. I just know that I had the best time of my life over there and all I want to do now is travel. I cannot stress enough just how important I think it is for people to travel outside their own country (or even state) and just live. Checked into a good hostel called urban holiday lofts and met some ozzy girls and arranged ...

... past me and he said out of the window "Hey beautiful!" And I was like "hey.." Hahaha. So awkward! The weirdest part was that I didn't look attractive at all. My hair was wet from the shower, it was tied back so I looked gross, and I wasn't wearing anything pretty at all! I guess there are just weird people everywhere who like to perve on anyone! Took the train and then got on a bus to Navy Pier! That was a fun place. Lots of different shops below and ...

... Mies van de Rohe, Daniel Burnham... Sadly no FLW. But one I don't know had a great modern headstone: Bruce Goff . The big name Victorian residents had large stone mausoleums made like small stone houses complete with handles and locks ( why? they'll not have any other residents /visitors) . It's almost like they couldn't bear to leave their earthly property behind so made themselves a 'house for death'. I resisted temptation to shoot ...
