Good Experience.

We stayed here as part of our European honeymoon. The hotel is located right in the middle of the Champs Elysee and is close to the metro and right in the heart of the action. Upon arrival, they gave us a nice room that had a small balcony. The staff was well informed and was very friendly. The breakfast buffet is much better than the average European buffet breakfast and the business center is conveniently open 24 hours (a perk that is generally not the norm in Europe). We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

GREAT location....to BUSY for me.

We stayed here May 2003. I must say its a very classy hotel. beautiful and the service is wonderful. I had no complaints about this hotel. But i must say that I tend to like the quiet areas of Paris. We usually stay at the Spanish Qtr area because its just nice and quiet. But the Champs-Elysees is really busy and full of people at all hours. But this hotel is wonderful....location is great....and close to subway station.

I would stay here again if I had to.

Very much enjoyed the Marriott!!

I have to say that the location of this hotel is great. I loved the staff. They were very courteous and helpful. The rooms were not that large but they were very nice and clean. I recommend the Marriott Champs-Elysees.

Great Location, Average Hotel

As others have expressed, the hotel is in a fabulous location. However, the hotel is rather average and runs out of non-smoking rooms. Our King sized bed room was small. When we asked for non-goose down pillows we received a response of why would you want anything else? Allergies!!

Same response on the down comforter on the bed. After a couple of days they did manage to come up with a single synthetic pillow. Given that the stated room rate was 725 euros (actual price a few hundred euros less) we expected better.

Good location, no personality

We booked a triple and paid for a triple but the room was definitely not a triple. A nice double, but not what we had reserved.

The staff was efficient but not warm. This is a run of the mill business hotel pretending to be a luxury hotel.

Wonderful hotel and location

Paris Marriott Champs Elysees was so nice. Luxurious hotel. Very safe.

Each person entering the hotel is required to walk under a detector.

Two or three uniformed hotel employees at the door checking your packages for safety reasons. Found good restaurants along the side streets. Navigated the underground Metro system easily. Took buses, and the boat trip on the Seine River. Great food every day. Highly recommend the Marriott. Earlier part of our trip was in the South of France at a very good bed and breakfast. Found the link on the web.

Rented an auto and visited a different town each day. Took the train to the southern part of France and rented car in Marseilles. Regret not using the new train station in Aix en Provence. Marseilles was a very busy city and it was difficult finding the train station/car rental area. Lucky to have good weather in September. Used a shuttle service for transport to airport $29 for two. Excellent..........for Paris

So that you know, I am a Marriott Rewards member and Marriott is my choice of hotels when traveling. Having said that, this is a great hotel.... for Paris. And as other reviewers have noted, the location is as good as it gets. But I have stayed in any number of Marriotts in the U.S. that are far superior to this one. I only point this out because I don't want anyone to go there expecting it to be something it is not.

Lower your expectations and you will not be disappointed. With the exception of the Four Seasons George V I did not see any hotels that were nicer, but I didn't see many hotels in Paris that I thought were that nice anyway. And when you are there, have dinner across the street at Laduree....tres magnifique.

Great Location!!!!!

This hotel was amazing, it wasn't really stunning in beauty or elegance (even though it was very clean and well-kept), its location was the best part. It was located right on the Champs-Elysees about four blocks from the Arc de Trioumph (did i spell it right?) and about two blocks from this great restaurant on the sidewalk on the Champs-Elysees called the Bistro Romain. It was a great visit and I hope to go back to Paris again very soon!!!

Great Location

This is a great hotel for the price. It is a fantastic location. The service is as you would expect, excellent.

Unbelievable

Unbeleivable, we lost our credit cards and had no cash. We arranged for a cash advance but it would not be in till the next day. The staff gave us our room anyway. We got so caught up with Paris that we remembered to check in only on our last day. We checked in, paid our bill and checked out and never so much as a single complaint from the hotel. On the contrary, there was fresh fruit and Champagne on my wife's birthday compliments of the management. I would not only stay there on my next trip to Paris, I'd live there if I could.
