    ... drunk one evening, many moons ago. Measured the length of the bridge by having one of the drunks: Oliver Smoot lie down all the way along the bridge marking off one Smoot at a time with paint. Since then one Smoot has been internationally recognised as a measurement at 5feet 7inches.

    Today we explored the Freedom Trail. Starting at the Boston Common we purchased a book that explained the important places and their significance to that era. We also took time to look at some of the other features of the Boston Common, like the Frog Pond which is an ice skating rink in winter...you can't swim in it.
