... have heard the joke about the old lady who stood at the bottom of the escalator in confusion. When asked why she pointed to the sign, "Dogs must be carried" and wept that she didn't have a dog! There should be a similar sign on all subway systems: "Mobile devices must be carried" because most of Boston's subway passengers are glued to a mobile phone or similar. (No different from London, I suppose). Landscape gardener advertised ...

... late after another wonderful meal in a trendy and sophisticated Harvard Restaurant called Alden & Harlow. Located on the lower ground floor we entered a spacious "cool" world inhabited by "designer locals" tucking into superb dishes such as:- SLOW ROASTED BEEF NECK with Parsnips, Vinegar, Radishes and BURRATA, ENGLISH PEA & RADISH with Mint & Peperoncino Honey, Garlic Crostino all washed down with excellent Reisling. ... When we arrive we are greeted by the Coast Guard and the Police (this **** just got real!). The sick and injured are escorted off the island by the Police, and eventually we are picked up by ferry and rushed back to Boston. Anyway, BHC couldn't have handled the situation any better.
