The Last Big Ride of the Tour
... hooted more than at any other time during the Tour although what the driver expected us to do on a single carriageway road in heavy rain is beyond us.
However, we came through the trip in good spirits and without any real incident. A couple of our American comrades who are used to riding here said that it was the worst they have ever experienced. We just held together and made ourselves as visible as we could and took great care.
