We enjoyed beautiful downtown Boston on the Freedom Trail. We went to many historic sites including old City Hall and a cemetery where Sam Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock are buried. The tour ended at the Boston Commons. Our tour guide was an actor and a social studies teacher. He made our tour very worthwhile. After the tour we visited the …

This year, my celebration of the King's birthday was slightly different from previous years. Instead of partying at the King’s Day festival in Amsterdam, I brought King’s Day to Boston College! The flight to Boston was the most turbulent flight I have ever been on! The captain announced he would not be turning off the seat belt sign and the crew would not be serving drinks before take off due to the storm we would be flying through. I stayed at the Boston international hostel which was great as accommodation ...

... what I see and feel. I was not disappointed. I was also able to see a blues band performing on a floating barge and later on a comedy show in the hostel. The hostel itself is huge but wonderfully set up for people like me and it feels like home already. People are so friendly and not just in the hostel. Today I went to Boston library which architecturally is very impressive and then onto museum of fine art which ...

Made it safe and sound to Boston. Anna and Brian are off to Miramichi, New Brunswick for a family wedding (YAY Dan and Laura!) and I am off to San Francisco from Boston tomorrow afternoon

Only one thing on our minds last night as we arrived. LOBSTER! Had a great lobster roll in a shack just north of Boston. The shacks on the water are the best places to get them and this one did not disappoint. However ...
