... world!!
It still feels surreal for the both of us to think we are on our way to Guyana. It seems unreal that we are here in the States - although here in Miami it seems rare to hear English being spoken. Most people seem to be speaking to each other in Spanish. We are often saying to each other that it is weird and we can't get our heads around everything that we are living at the moment.

Next was the hard part.. Finding our hosts house in an estate in eastern Orlando. We had our trusty google directions, and I think only took about two wrong turns before we managed to get to where we were meant to be. We had been introduced to a website called couchsurfing by the Moores, ...
ULTRA 2011...I'm in Miami Beach!!!
... good DJ's were the last day, and I made sure that I got to them all. The night closed with David Guetta, then The Chemical Brothers, then Afro Beta. They are all so good, but David Guetta is, and probably always will be my favorite DJ. His songs are amazing and he is sooo good live. This is the third time I have seen him, and it was unreal. It was definitely the best show of Ultra also, no doubt. As he played, there were fireworks and these people ...

Wouldn’t have mattered if he told me no, I was still thinking them. As the water looks grubby and dank at this point, nobody else wanted to get out either. I think that is a deliberate ploy on their part so that nobody gets out. Gone is the rickety table.

Historical Traveler Reviews Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay
Very comfortable
Very comfortable hotel after a delayed flight from London and long lines at immigration. Staff were nice, breakfast was great and beds were very comfy. Great views of ships from the top floor.
Not bad Not grand
Key Biscayne itself is a souless and overdeveloped tourist anthill and utterly charmless. The hotel is not excellent in the sense of grand and elegent but it is solid. A good, palatable and not too expensive alternative for families. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you are in miami you should eat elsewhere. You can get good enough hotel food anywhere.
Loved the Marriott!
We stayed at the Marriott for one night on Dec. 5, 2004 and had a wonderful experience. We arrived at noon and were allowed to check-in right away, even thought check-in is not until 4:00 pm. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept on in a hotel. The view from the 21st floor was awesome and we spent a lot of time just watching the boats in the harbour and cruise ships come in. If we are ever in the Miami area again, we would definitely stay at the Marriott!
Best Hotel stay, great room, great view
We stayed at this hotel August 27 - 28 after our week long cruise. We had a great room with a great view on the top floor. We could see Miami and the Bay where the cruise ships were heading back out to sea. The beds were very comfortable. All of the staff was friendly and courteous. It was my birthday weekend and the concierge gave us some great tips on where to go in South Beach to celebrate. We had a blast!!! If i'm ever in Miami again, we will definitely stay at this great hotel.
Loved the Marriott
we loved the marriott. we spent two days there before our cruise and the room was great, fantastic food....and the view was unbelieveable.
Great for Pre-Cruise Wedding Stay
The level of "attention to detail" given by the Miami Marriot Biscayne Bay Staff far exceeded our expectations! From the initial group planning to the final day of the stay, we were treated with the utmost respect and courtesy by the hotel staff.
Service at the hotel exceeded that which we received on the actual cruise! We are frequent cruisers and will definitely stay here again!
Great Hotel!
I've had the pleasure of staying here twice, the last time being January 04. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds are sooooo comfortable!! On both occasions, I was given a room with a balcony that faced the Port of Miami and all the cruise ships. The work out facilities were excellent! They were located on three different floors, connected to each other, and you could look out at the cruise ships while you were running on the treadmills. Outside the main lobby, and not part of the hotel, there are a few little stores, a bar/restaurant and a deli that sells inexpensive bottles of wine. It was nice to buy a few bottles to enjoy on my balcony and to take with me on my cruise. (I put them in my checked luggage and had no problems with breakage or getting them on board Carnival). There was also a shuttle service that took us to South Beach and Bayside. Very nice staff, very friendly.
Will definitely stay here again!
Fantastic
My wife and I stayed here in between 3 and 8 night cruises on 2/2/04.
We were greeted at the main entrance by friendly staff who went out of their way to take care of us. I am a firm believer that good service should be rewarded and made sure to tip whenever appropriate. This was clearly appreciated, as our service was 1st class. We arrived from the Port of Miami at 9:00am and feared that we would not be able to check in until mid afternoon. The desk staff gave us a room on the 30th floor with a panoramic view of Biscayne Bay, including the Port of Miami and Miami Beach off in the distance. We were settled in to our room by 9:20am, making our stay that much more enjoyable. We were only there for one night, but made the most of our time. MBB has very nice dining and pool facilities. We were initially concerned that the pool bar/grill was not open, however the restaurant sent us wait staff to accommodate our needs. Later that evening our pool waiter (whose shift had ended hours ago) went out of his way to approach us and say hello when we were shopping off property. Property is very centrally located and easy to get around. Will definately stay there again and would highly recommend it for pre/post cruisers.
Best Hotel
After spending a week in a cruise ship cabin this room was so inviting.
The room was spacious, clean and with a nice balcony view of the bay, marina and swimming pool. The bed was so comfy with a big fluffy duvet.
Their is also a little plaza connected from the main lobby floor which has a little grocery store which you can buy just about anything you want. There is also a shuttle bus with very reasonable rates to get to Bayside Marketplace as well as South Beach Miami. Highly recommended.
Loved the marriott
This is my all time favorite hotel. Everyone is very gracious. Views of Biscayne bay are gorgeous.I highly recomment this hotel.
