While listening to my most favorite song at the moment (Turtle, by Alana Davis), I've realized my trip has BEGUN!!!! It wasn't real until now. I'm sitting at my seat on my way to JFK airport, waiting for my dinner, and I don't really have much to say except that my excitement is finally here. No worrying, no doubting, just excitement. location...gorgeous view. I could have been content sitting on the
balcony sipping wine... watching the ships in the "Harbour" and staring
at the Opera House for hours on end. Oh yeah....I did.

MOST DIFFICULT AIRPORT FOR US TO GET AROUND:

... dual citizens and left the US on our US passports as required by law. She must have decided that was OK because she got back to chatting about the weather and wished us a wonderful stay in South Africa. Phew. Our bags were some of the first out and with C's beady Go-Go-Gadget findy eyes, I had no trouble getting them.
Mom, of course, was in tears when she saw us, and so thankful to Uncle Colin and Aunty Di for fetching us from the airport.
