... has suggested we visit enroute. Bamberg is one of them and is supposed to be one of the most attractive towns in Germany..we'll see!

Today we travelled through a lot of rural Germany. The question we kept asking was 'where are all the people?' Even around the hotel in this residential area, nobody was outside, no people walking along the pavements..really strange..as if The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes had happened!

... to a chain restaurant that I had seen in the Einkaufszentrum (shopping center) last week—Swiss Break. I ordered the baked chicken nuggets with Rösti (grated potatoes that are then either baked or fried with onions and other seasonings). ... a woman from Germany and there were presently some marital issues and he was here attempting to resolve those issues and visit his children. It was only after I got home and did a bit of searching that I discovered he was the conductor of the orchestra and has also had quite a few positions in Germany. He also indicated that within the last couple of years he has conducted the Indianapolis Symphony and the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra.
