... could view some of them from the beach. It was windy and misty on the beach and the spray from the sea water blew across the beach but it was very atmospheric. We all felt a bit windswept on the return drive back towards Lorne. As we passed the turning to the Cape Otway lighthouse we decided to go in despite the entrance fee. There we had a picnic lunch and climbed the lighthouse where we got amazing views out to sea. There was also great koala spotting on the way down. We were lucky ...

As I write this I am debatably 2 shades darker than I was previously, the fact that the shades are pink is irrelevant. A travel blog entry by boatboy50 on Oct 07, 2014

At last, the time has come. We had planned to leave yesterday straight after the school holidays, however living in the van bought some maintenance issues to light, which is what we were hoping would happen, so we postponed it another day, rather than seeing these issues come to light on the road where it would be a major issue to repair. I had an extra 85l water tank installed along with an 85l grey water tank. This should see our ...

    Yamba to the Gold Coast

Left Yamba about 8am and made our way through the leads and through the Hole in the Wall to the mouth of the Clarence River, then over the bar and heading north again.
Sitting on about 18knots most of the way except when we came to a complete stop to avoid running up on a whale who then shyly dived to avoid my camera lens. Trying hard to get a video or good photo but they aren't being cooperative. ...
