A champagne breakfast? Why not? Thanks to Kerrie and Graham for a great recommendation.

Drove into Reims. After the champagne breakfast, a gentle start to the day. We thought we'd planned our excursion into Reims well, only to discover that most of the museums and points of interest were closed on Tuesday (today), not Monday, as is usual.

Sometimes all it takes is some hot food and nice scenery to make the day alright...though a shower would certainly help!

... an upside though.......as well as getting extra driving practice and navigation practice we got to practice driving half way to Paris (once you hit the motorway it is a long break between exits), driving around parts of the French countryside that we would otherwise have missed seeing. When we finally arrived at our destination, a beautiful boutique B & B in the village of Rosnay, our hosts had long gone to head off to celebrate ...
