    ... town more on the Tram and Tourist train around the city. Extremely beautiful boutique shops with amazing shoes and specialist items, all of which I loved but obviously could not afford. The weather was very cold with some sunny patches, wish I bought my boots as I would have got a lot of ware out of them! Froze a bit. Caught train back to Chateau. Back to work tomorrow again, all good though , getting used to it.

    This was the day we leave Paris and take our courage tablets, put on our big girl knickers and pick up the rental car and drive. I will never criticise foreign drivers again! It is really hard driving on the wrong side of the road in the middle of a busy city you don't know!     ... from the restaurant. Apparently the widow of the Marquis still lives there and it has been in the Goulaine family for thousands of years. We have never had time to properly explore the chateau so we plan to return for a more extensive visit but we did notice that the trees in front of the castle seemed to be painted in bright colours and designs. On closer inspection they were knitted tree cosies made by the knitting association in Haute Goulaine and on display for the public.
