We are staying here for another day. We aren't sure yet where we will go after this. But there are several places that we are considering, including Orleans, Blois and Chinon. It was a watery sun this morning. Lunch with Sue and Tony in Les Rairies. It is so good to catch up with someone who has been a friend for over 40 years. This Aire is just beautiful. Right on the side of the river, a very nice little town just over the bridge with a supermarket, patisserie and butcher. ...

Went for a drive to explore some more castles today. Went to Blois and Chambord. While Chenonceau is rated as the nicest castle to visit in the Loire, I think the honors should really go to Chateau Chambord. It is the epitome of what a castle is. It is quite magnificent, and so is the French countryside.

After a morning of castle touring we drove back to Paris (Scott's favourite thing to do!). He paid for a full tank of gas from ...
