We stopped at the "American Gothic House" roadside attraction. It is the house that inspired the famous painting by Grant Wood in 1930. The actual house is rented out and the visitor center was closed so we didn't get a pitchfork in our picture. Darn it! I remember that theme for the Carney family calendar so this was special for me.

... I knew the words to the Madonna, Journey, etc. songs he picked. He also played that Ru Paul Supermodel song. I think the dance floor could not have been more animated for that song. :) The night came to an end WAY too quickly. Most of me could have stayed all night...except for my feet....exhausted. I did manage to remember my tuxedo jacket....even with the button that was missing. Note - all groomsman wore their jackets unbuttoned due to a wardrobe malfunction ...
