The following day we were preparing to leave and our train took us back to Brussels and we changed to the Eurostar back to St Pancras in London. We then said goodbye to Mike and Jen and changed to the tube to return to Heathrow. Our BA flight took us to Hong Kong for 2 nights before returning home.
What a wonderful experience and fabulous trip !!

Today we enjoyed a sleep in and then headed to the gym. On the way to the gym I told Toby I felt lethargic but still went anyway. The gym was packed! Her husband works as a security guard. She said she misses her family and wants to ...

... and an occasional feeling of nausea. I had a little bit of yoghurt and fruit and half a bread roll with a little piece of ham but didn't feel like anything else. We then headed down to the International Café where we can get really nice coffee – I managed half a latte but still feeling pretty ordinary and my tummy was doing all kinds of back flips and I figured I wanted to be close to my own loo. I had a bout ...

... the 30 minute drive from the port in Zeebrugge to Bruges. Most of the countryside was agricultural – we saw fields of grain, potatoes, corn, and sugar beets. Unfortunately it also started to rain (really rain, not just showers) on our way to town. Also unfortunately, our tour was a walking tour of the old town, followed by a canal cruise in open canal boats, followed by more walking. When we arrived in Bruges it was still raining ...
